History of Ortiz Eye & Hearing
If you suffer from vision loss, you’re aware of what you’re missing. You may be unable to see well enough to read that favorite book and to see that familiar face waving from across the way, but not quite able to put that model airplane together or work on that knitting project you enjoy. In order to make those things possible again, you see your eye doctor and correct your vision with glasses.
Unlike vision loss, when you suffer from hearing loss, you don’t know what you’re missing. You don’t hear the conversations of family or friends. You can’t hear the radio or television for those favorite talk shows or sports events. You can’t hear approaching emergency vehicles when you’re driving. Thirty-one million Americans find it difficult to hear without a hearing instrument and one out of six baby boomers suffers from hearing loss.
Dr. Philip A. Ortiz became aware 25 years ago that many of his vision patients were also suffering from hearing loss. It was for that reason Dr. Ortiz founded Ortiz Hearing Center.
While utilizing the latest technology, Ortiz’s highly trained health care professionals continue to provide the “gold standard” in patient care like they have done for the past 50 years.
Ortiz Hearing Center has partnered with Audibel because they have also built their company on similar family ideals of honesty, compassion, and an innate resolve to answer any call for help. The Ortiz Hearing Center treats their patients better than they’re treated anywhere else. Audibel is a division of Starkey, the only major American owned and operated company remaining in the hearing aid business. Their amazing hearing aids are made for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
Contrary to popular belief, hearing instruments don’t make you old, they keep you young.
Our commitment to patient care was built around the mutual agreement of honor, integrity, and trust with each patient.
As a part of the nationwide Audibel network, we aim to provide the greatest hearing care experience possible by abiding to the following standards that define American Hearing Excellence.
1. Comprehensive Evaluation
We evaluate your hearing, communication needs, and goals for your life.
2. Recommend Only What Needs Recommending
Because we evaluate all your hearing and communication needs, we will recommend a treatment plan that is unique to you and designed to meet your needs.
3. Clear Understanding of the Hearing Journey and Results
We make sure that you understand what steps will be taken on your journey to better hearing and what the realistic outcomes are for those steps.
4. Seeing and Hearing the Benefit
We will verify that the hearing instruments and accessories that go with them are working and provide the benefit that you need. This verification may be done through several clinically adopted tools such as Real Ear Measurement, Speech Mapping, or Sound Field Verification.
5. Treatment is More than Just an Office Visit
We work with you to create a long term treatment plan, define follow-up appointments, perform regular ongoing evaluations, and any additional care that you may need to make sure you stay satisfied with your hearing in the years to come.
6. Warranty for One, Warranty for All
When you work with Audibel, you are working not only with your local hearing healthcare professionals, but also the national network that will honor the warranty, support, and service guarantees on all Audibel products.
7. Commitment for a Lifetime
All Audibel products receive free cleanings and testing for their lifetime.
